Initial Programming
There are two methods to program the iDRAC interface:
via the iDARC management RJ-45 port
via the front micro-USB port
Front micro-USB port
Requirements
External computer
Data capable micro-USB cable
Tested with Windows 10/11
Plug the micro-USB cable into the front iDRAC port
Plug the other end of the micro-USB cable into the external computer.
Look for a solid green light on the front of server next to the micro-USB port.
May have to wait 30 secs.
Open a web browser and navigate to
https://169.254.0.3
You are now ready to log in.
Logging In
The default log in for iDRAC is:
username: root
password: calvin
Optional: Upon first log in, change the default password.
Change iDRAC IP
After logging in,
Navigate to
iDRAC Settings
Select
Connectivity
Change the IP address to the desired one.
Also, set the Subnet Mask, Gateway, and
DNS
IPs, if required.
Click
Apply
May have to wait a few mins, else, reboot the iDRAC,
Not the system
.
Reboot the iDRAC
Navigate to the
