Troubleshooting

To view installed components:

admin show inventory

To view installed linecards and their status:

admin show platform

To view fpd (Field Programmable Devices) versions for each linecard:
If the Upg/Dng? column contains Yes, then upgrade that fpd.

admin show hw-module fpd location all

To upgrade an fpd's rommon at location 0/0/CPU0, for example:

admin upgrade hw-module fpd rommon location 0/0/CPU0

After an upgrade is complete, then reload the linecard:

admin hw-module location 0/0/CPU0 reload

Release Notes

Version 7.0.1 and later

From Cisco IOS XR Software Release 7.0.1 and later, the SSH host-key pairs are auto-generated at the time of router boot up. Hence you need not perform steps 5 to 7 to generate the host keys explicitly. See, Automatic Generation of SSH Host-Key Pairs for details.
